"Breath taking views, amazing food, great customer service. Overall absolutely amazing! They are very on top of everything! Treated fairly, and just very efficient even on a busy night! Portion sizes amazing & filling! We also did their Hula Pie was to absolutely delicious! 100% recommend (definitely share). Leonardo was fabulous and we appreciate you taking such great care of us and definitely appreciate the recommendation on food! Side note if you make a reservation you’re definitely ordering off a different menu than if you just walked in and ordered off the other menu. But highly recommended the reservation for a date night. If you have kids best if you just walk in. They had live music and a hula dancer! It was a perfect sunset dinner for us!"

"Very busy place with a great view and vibe. I would recommend lunch over dinner. Have only had dinner here, but view would be better with the sun out. The hostess staff were great. Server in the bar was great. When it came to our dinner we were greeted quickly and order taken in a reasonable amount of time. Food came out at a decent pace. But once food was out server never came by to check on us. No drink refills. No checking to see if anything else needed. We finished out meals and waited a good 10-15 minutes with plates stacked up before server came by and offered desserts. After dessert it took another 10 minutes or so of us waiting to pay bill. I would come back, but staff needs to be more attentive. Even if it isn’t your table step up and help out."

"Duke’s Waikiki – My Favorite Restaurant in Honolulu If you ever find yourself in Honolulu, on the island of Oʻahu, Duke’s Waikiki is an absolute must-visit. It is my number one restaurant in Honolulu and third favorite on the entire island of Oʻahu—and for very good reasons. The restaurant is located practically right on Waikiki Beach, making it incredibly easy to reach from the main hotels in the area. It’s a short walk from the Royal Hawaiian, Sheraton Waikiki, and even Hilton Hawaiian Village—around 10–11 minutes on foot—so accessibility is never an issue. Many guests are initially drawn in by the view, but what awaits inside goes far beyond scenery. The first impression is… distinctive. The welcome can feel a bit cold, almost with a touch of attitude, which may be surprising if you arrive smiling and greeting everyone with a friendly “good afternoon.” The entrance has a slightly rough, laid-back edge that might feel off-putting at first, especially if you don’t yet know what to expect. With an online reservation, guests are asked to wait in a designated lounge area, where it’s easy to order a drink while waiting for the table—making the wait itself quite pleasant. After a short moment, a staff member approaches to reconfirm the reservation and lets you know that someone will guide you to the table shortly. Soon after, another team member escorts you to your table and respectfully informs you who will be taking care of you during the visit. The table was looked after by Mikey, and he truly made the experience exceptional. Warm, genuinely friendly, smiling, and incredibly positive, he immediately created a sense of ease and comfort. What stood out the most was his honesty—he openly shared that not every guest enjoys a particular dish and clearly explained why. His explanation was so thoughtful and transparent that it was immediately clear whether it would be a good fit or not. That level of sincerity and confidence in guiding guests is rare and deeply appreciated. As for the food, the experience began with Poke Tacos, a great introduction for anyone trying poke for the first time. The fish was exceptionally fresh—ahi tuna, beautifully prepared—paired with an airy, cloud-like avocado mousse. The flavors worked surprisingly well together. Even for those who don’t usually eat carbohydrates, the tacos feel light and refreshing, making them a wonderful starter. For the main course, the choice fell on a seafood medley featuring lobster, shrimp, swordfish, and mahi-mahi. Everything was gently braised and served in a fragrant coconut, mushroom, spinach, and ginger broth. The dish struck a beautiful balance between delicacy and depth—no heavy fats, no frying, just clean, thoughtful cooking. The subtle kick of ginger added an elegant edge, making the dish feel not only delicious but also genuinely nourishing. What ultimately makes Duke’s Waikiki stand out are two things: the people and the view. If you have the opportunity, it’s absolutely worth asking to be seated with Mikey—the interaction with him truly shapes the atmosphere and elevates the entire dining experience. And then there’s the setting. On one side, the mountains; on the other, a breathtaking sunset. Watching the sun slowly sink into the ocean over Waikiki Beach is nothing short of magical. Traditional Hawaiian-style umbrellas—woven, bamboo-like structures—shade the tables and add to the relaxed beachside charm. While the atmosphere feels effortlessly casual, the food itself is clearly of a much higher standard than a typical beach restaurant. In short, Duke’s Waikiki perfectly combines stunning views, thoughtful cuisine, and outstanding hospitality. If you’re visiting Honolulu, this is a place you truly shouldn’t miss."

"This famous spot in Waikiki was worth the wait! We came around 12:30 on a weekday for the lunch buffet, and the wait was only around 30 minutes. Everyone here was so friendly, and they were very helpful when we let them know about a tree nut allergy. The buffet included a good variety of items such as kalbi short ribs, teriyaki chicken, Kalua pork and cabbage, garlic shrimp, and customizable poke bowls. There are also many different salads and toppings to choose from. All the food tasted really fresh and flavorful. It was also nice eating with the view of beautiful Waikiki Beach. Despite its popularity, Duke’s did not disappoint!"

"Even on a very busy Christmas Day, Duke’s Waikiki delivered a wonderful experience. Kudos to all the staff who showed up with such energy and professionalism. Special shoutout to Michelle, my server, she’s an absolute angel! She was always smiling and frequently checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. The lunch buffet was awesome. I especially loved the Kalua Pork, and the bleu cheese dressing was a pleasant surprise that I really enjoyed. Mahalo for making Christmas lunch memorable! 🎄🌺"
